There are a lot of great ways to implement a sledgehammer, or the MostFit Core Hammer, into a circuit, bootcamp, or group training session. With the Core Hammer of course you can slam it right on the ground. But the hammer grip squat to overhead press is a great strength and stability workout. Your glutes, core, and shoulders are engaged throughout the movement and it can be a real heart rate boost as well.
Your Athlete will hold the hammer in a hammer grip, bottom hand over, top hand under. Have the athlete squat low enough to get the top elbow to touch the knee, then simply stand up and reach over head. The bottom arm helps to stabilize and the athlete must work harder to keep their hips even. Repeat and add it to a circuit for more challenge.
The MostFit Core Hammer's unique design allows for so many different types of exercises and workouts. The round urethane head can be slammed on any surface, no need for a tire. This makes it easier to lead group training, bootcamp. or group exercise class and incorporate Sledgehammer and Mace exercises. Add it to a strength and conditioning circuit or a functional training workout. The Core Hammer is not only a great way to impress your athletes and clients but its an effective strength training and cardio tool.
